The key aims of masterclasses are to increase marketers and communicators understanding and knowledge of D & I  as well as assist delegates to plan, implement and evaluate their projects or campaigns to improve delegates’ knowledge and experience of D & I and its importance providing an opportunity for representatives to meet and ask the experts.

Masterclasses include insight into the spending power and consumer habits of diverse and hard-to-reach communities, Introduction to D & I, consumer spending habits and trends analysis, addressing unconscious biases, a series of good and bad case studies, as well as the cost of getting Diversity and inclusion wrong.

In House Lunch & Learns

We design and facilitate tailor-made training sessions for internal staff, including directors, senior management and front line personnel. We can also run a series of lunch and learns.

We carry out a D & I training needs analysis. Immediately after the training, we supply agencies and organisations with a summary of the delegates’ evaluations followed by a follow-up six week and twelve-week review. We also plan and facilitate interactive workshops, including role-play, problem-solving, quizzes and follow-on action plans.

The founder of Diversity Within, Mavis Amankwah, was one of the co-founders and former MD of ethnic communications agency Rich Visions Diversity Comms. focused exclusively on helping organisations reach out to minority ethnic audiences through marketing and PR.

Mavis Amankwah was previously featured in The Guardian and was named one of PR Weeks’s most influential people in PR from 2011-2015. Mavis’s highlight of her career was winning the diversity communications brief for one of the most extensive campaigns in the UK, the Digital TV Switchover, one of the most comprehensive public infrastructure change operations since the switch to natural gas in 1967.

Rich Visions DC

Rich Visions DC (Diversity Comms.) evolved into one of the most influential diversity specialist agencies in the UK in the early 2000s. It was an approved supplier to the COI (Central Office of Information) cultural diversity framework. It had worked on a plethora of diverse projects and campaigns for the Home Office, the Metropolitan Police, Defra and Liverpool City Council, to name a few, and in 2012 won the diversity brief for the Digital Switchover campaign.
